Hope
I found myself captivated by the innocent curiosity of this beautiful child and everything else in the print faded into insignificance. She reminded me of other children I have seen during my travels, and the knowledge that too many of these children will never reach their full potential for reasons beyond their control like gender bias, social customs, restrictive religious practices, poverty and war.
My hope is that children like her can grow and flourish.
I have used a fabric collage technique with free motion quilting to create the piece.
